ABOUT LEIMUN

LEIMUN is the 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit corporation created to maintain and administer the program previously known as the Kent State Ashtabula Model United Nations Program (KSUAC-MUNC). From its headquarters in Ashtabula, Ohio, LEIMUN conducts conferences and corporate events throughout Northeast Ohio.
Since its creation in 2000, LEIMUN has helped to make the Northcoast High School Conference, held annually in late March, and the Lake Erie College Conference, held annually in late October or early November, two of the most sought after Model United Nations conferences in the Midwest.
Operating two highly successful conferences each year is not the only thing that LEIMUN does. In addition, we have sponsored guest speakers and panel discussions on current international issues. We offer training workshops to interested high school and college Model United Nations teams. We offer this service whether the team does or does not attend our conferences. We also permit our Rules of Procedure to be used at other Model United Nations conferences upon request. We are always willing to consider sponsoring other internationally themed events should they present themselves to us. We are also considering the establishment of a LEIMUN Scholarship Fund and are seeking other mechansisms through which we can become better corporate citizens.
We hope that you will read more of the information provided on this website about LEIMUN - the Lake Erie College Conference, the Northcoast High School Conference, and the Non-Profit Corporation.
